Having an alpha personality is a compelling feeling. Unfortunately, not everybody understands its positive side. A lot of people think that alphas are very dominant and overly controlling, but that is not always the case.
If you are alpha, you know that there are a lot of things people do not realize you are doing differently because of that. Find out, with this list of 12 things, if you are a misunderstood alpha:
1. Your blunt, even if it hurts someone’s feelings
You are honest, and you expect others to be the same way. You do not like to glorify things that are not worth it. Of course, there will be people, who do not like your straightforwardness and think that you are arrogant and mean. The truth is that you are real and honest, and sometimes it might hurt other people, but the truth is what they need to hear.

2. You do what you say and expect the same from others
You are all about actions, not words. You cannot stand the people who promise you the world, and in the end, they do not do anything. You are a trustworthy person, who people can count on. You expect the same kind of behavior from others as well, but unfortunately, sometimes they disappoint you.
3. Less talk, more action
You are not the one, who just dreams and thinks “what if.” If you want something, you will make it happen for yourself. You do not want to waste your time on chatting; rather you would just go and get things done.
4. You don’t mind being alone
You appreciate the peace alone time gives you. Although you are very socializing, you get quickly tired and bored of other people. When you are alone, you can focus on your dreams, your work, and your ideas without any distraction.

5. You do not let people push you around
You stand up for yourself. If you feel that someone is unfair towards you, you speak up. That is an excellent quality, but it will piss some people off. Some might even find you aggressive because of that, but you are just passionate and honest.
6. You have strong beliefs
If you believe in something, it is practically impossible to change your mind. You can get a bit stubborn with your ideas, but that only shows your commitment and passion for them.
7. You do what you love
As mentioned above, you are an incredibly passionate person. When you do something, you put your whole heart in it, and that is why you cannot do activities, that you do not care about. You prefer to fill your time with things that truly make you happy.
8. You do not care what others think about you
You are a strong and confident person, who knows exactly what he wants. This means that you could not care less what others thought about you and your behavior. You firmly believe in “minding one’s own business,” and you think that everyone should follow that.

9. You are territorial
You can become controlling and protective for some people and some places. But that is not a bad thing. This just shows your commitment and love towards them. You do not let others hurt the people you love and will stand up for them if they do not do it themselves.

10. You may come off as bossy
Because you know exactly what you want and how to get there, some people might find your behavior or attitude bossy. The truth is that you are meant to be a leader and to tell people what to do is in your blood. You know how to earn other people’s respect and how to get them to listen to you. Some people have a hard time getting used to that, but that is not your problem.
11. You are picky
You always want perfection. It does not matter what the subject is, but you are always looking for the ultimate end. This means saying no to a lot of things, but once you do find what you like, you will stick to it for a long time.
12. You work hard
You do everything with heart, and when you have started something, you will find a way to finish it. This means never letting anyone down and always doing what you have promised to do. Your hard work gives you great possibilities and only by working hard, you can fulfill your ambitions.
So do not worry, if you are an alpha person. There will be people in your life, who do not understand or like you because of that. But there will also be people, who will appreciate your alpha personality and look up to you. It is your own choice, with which persons you surround yourself. Your personality will get you far in life if you work hard.
