5 Essential Things You Are Not Doing To Be More Spiritual

Spiritualism has historically been linked to monks and gurus and has been thought as something beyond masses’ reach. It has been intimidating for some people; some people thought spiritualism is for people who totally disconnect themselves from the normal life.

Also, spiritual people are not supposed to have a job or business or relationships; they are beyond normal; it was said.

However, we believe spiritualism can be easily blended in your day today life. Being spiritual means having a connection with your inner soul, with your spirit, being happier and about having a sense of the presence of something bigger.

The spiritual journey goes on the path of awakening, it involves letting go of ego and pride and to surrender to nature. The acceptance and surrender bring in harmony, happiness, and peace in your life.

It gives a sense of achievement without having to beat someone, a real source of happiness not dependent on others, a different kind of mental state, and a stronger relationship with divinity and a realization of personal growth involving mind, body, and spirit.

To be spiritual, strike a balance between the needs of your body and of your soul. Practice these practices of highly spiritual people to blend in spiritualism in your life every day.

1) Be quiet

Silence, quiet and peace are natural tonics for soul. Silent the outside world and also the inner world. Stop whining, complaining, thinking and planning in your head. Just sense the stillness and peace and observe the small whispers of nature.

2) Meditate

Meditate every day, even if it is for few minutes. Meditation is an exercise of connecting your mind and body. Meditate and understand your own mind. You can transform negative energy within you to positivity through meditation by cultivating positive thoughts. This transformation goes on throughout the day even when you leave your meditation mat and continue with your life.

3) Surrender

Surrender is not loss of power. But in spirituality surrendering the control means accepting the power of divine, leaving the mystery and unseen in the hands of divinity and just living the moment and living it to full potential.

4) Get in Touch with Nature

Nature has its own effect on humans. An intimate relationship with nature is a part of human spirit. Nature is always giving, it teaches generosity without any greed and a hope for return. Every blade of grass, every ray of sunlight, every drop of rain and everything in nature small or mighty has one effect or the other on your personality.

5) Mindfulness

Mindfulness means being present in the moment with both mind and body. It is a non-judgmental state of awareness involving consciousness of your thoughts, your breathing, your body and the moment.

Spirituality is a sense of awareness and connection. It can be achieved without having to become a saint and is pretty normal state of life.
