Finding the one and being in love is the best feeling in the world. All of a sudden you feel happy, carefree, safe and comfortable. You start to notice all the little things in life and enjoy every second.
Although love is beautiful and full of happy emotions, there is no reason to share it with all your 578 Facebook friends or 692 Instagram followers. Here are the things couples should never post on social media:
1. Declaration of Your Love Through Status Updates
If you need to express your love, say it to your loved one personally. There is no reason to shout it to all your friends, acquaintances and co-workers. Sharing your love towards your partner every day on social media might make it look like an attempt just to get attention and be jealous of. The best thing to do is to keep the relationship genuine and real and share only small parts of it online.
2. Your Text Conversations
Whether you think what your lover has texted is sweet or cute, it was meant only for you. So do not breach his privacy and make everyone know your inside jokes and nicknames. Some things are best kept in private and personal conversations are exactly that.
3. Passive-Aggressive Rants About Your Significant Other
If there is a problem in the relationship, find a solution by talking to each other. There is no point in including all your Facebook friends to your argument and trying to get people on your side. This is childish and foolish and does not show you on your best side. No relationship is perfect, but when something is bothering you, talk to your lover, not your whole Facebook friends group.
4. An Endless Feed of Couple Photos
Of course, it is cute to show how much you love each other. A picture here and there from time to time is acceptable too, only please do not be too cheesy. Some couples tend to go overboard with photos and captions. If you have a whole feed on Instagram filled with only couple pictures and tacky love quotes, you are getting some hate behind your back. People do not want to see every little detail about your relationship, so respect them and respect yourself as well.
5. Bed Selfies
Yes, we all know that you are having fun in the bedroom. You do not have to show it with a picture. This is just way over the line. Think about all the different people, who may be following you – your friends, their friends or kids, your co-workers and your parents. Why do you want all of these people to get an image in their mind what are you doing in the bedroom? This is the thing you should keep in private. It should be illegal for couples to post bedroom selfies.
So please check if you have done any of these 5 points. If not, thank god, but if you have, it is the last time to change your behavior. Being in love is a great thing, and all of your friends are of course cheering for you, but that does not mean they want to see all the details of it and feel like they are in that relationship as well.
