There are two things you should never say to a person, never ever, those things are; onto ask them to Calm down, and two, telling them they are too defensive. There’s something about being told that you are too defensive that falls close to adding kerosene to fire.
You tell people that they are too defensive when you want to invalidate the purpose of their defense. You’re too defensive actually means, “I’m punching you but you’re not supposed to duck”.
Add astrology to the blend, and you’ll be able to locate multiple defensive zodiac signs. Some of us are more defensive than others. That might come from a life long history of being victimized.
Although you learned to protect yourself from the onslaught of others, yet you begin to anticipate more attacks even when there is no sign of such danger ahead. That, is basically too defensive. When you defend yourself in situations that are safe and sound.
When someone comes from a background of abuse, whether physical, verbal or emotional, it sets them up for a lifetime of anticipating more of the same abuse. Sometimes they’re defensive for no reason at all, simply because defending everything they have got has been challenged one too many times.
Defensive Zodiac Signs
ARIES (March 21 – April 19)
Aries will defend their turf way ahead of time. You do not trust others, and you have good right to feel that way. Being an Aries gets you into battle after battle, and that feeds the Aries ego in you; however, it still doesn’t exactly feel good to be defensive.
Being an Aries, you naturally assume that you are going to get screwed, so in defense of what’s yours, you will screw anyone first. For you, that’s the circle of life.
LIBRA (September 23 – October 22)
Libras are hoarders and collectors. You collect things, lovers, friends, people, trash, pets or basically anything. This is what makes you happy, your collections. What pushes your buttons big time is when someone crap-talks about your collections.
One can not criticize a Libra, not unless they want to get into a bar brawl over which Game of Thrones character deserved the iron throne. A Libra will defend all and everything that they own while throwing all and everything else in the ocean, whenever they desire. Defensive? Yep, it’s what they’re best at.
TAURUS (April 20 – May 20)
Always keep in mind, a Taurus might be defensive, but if it’s someone whom they are defending themselves from, that someone is as good as dead. Taurus’ are defensive and they are tough as nails.
You don’t care if someone thinks you’re paranoid or over the top; if you’ve decided they’ve rubbed you the wrong way, it’s over for them. They’ll never get to explain themselves and they will forever be on your hate list.
GEMINI (May 21 – June 20)
Being a Gemini, you do tend to feel attacked, whether you are or not, and that’s part of what gives you that ornery look in your eye. It’s as if you are just waiting around for someone to disagree with you, just so you can feel justified in your hateful defensiveness.
Gemini wants everyone to know that no matter what, they can’t abuse them, and in doing so, they make sure they isolate themselves as much as possible. People end up not wanting to be friends with a Gemini, since they really are hard souls with little patience, more anger and a whole lot of defensiveness.
VIRGO (August 23 – September 22)
If you are a Virgo, you are likely to be very dedicated to what you love, whether its people, pets, passions, religion or your country. You love hard, but you also own hard, which simply means that no one has a part in your world. And should someone even try to be friendly with you, you naturally assume they are there to ruin everything for you.
Virgos are defensive and rude. So, it’s not just about defending your turf, it’s also about defending it with machine guns and foul mouth. Virgo owns it, and you don’t. That’s final.
CANCER (June 21 – July 22)
Being a Cancer if you get defensive, you become cold, rude, hard and completely unforgiving. Always remember this: Cancers do not forgive. We hold on to every single bit of pain we have, and we recall that pain when we come into contact with a new person. We are oversensitive people who can’t take criticism.
Everyone is guilty until proven innocent when it comes to Cancer, and they automatically engrave it mind that they’re going to try and get over on you in their minds. so with that knowledge, Cancers make sure you suffer before they get to suffer themselves. Although Cancers are the most emotional, but once defensive, they are unforgiving, ruthless and stone-cold frozen too.
