Relationships take hard work, understanding and (above all), love.
Sure, everyone experiences rough patches, ups, and downs, but the key to understanding these periods is to know that they should be temporary. If you feel like you can’t remember the last time they made you feel safe with their love, then maybe it’s time to take an honest look at your relationship and read the writing on the wall.
It’s perfectly ok if you and your partner enjoy the occasional comfortable silence. It’s relaxing. It’s intimate. However, if these moments aren’t just moments and have grown into hours of silence at dinner, on dates or weekend excursions, then that’s a bad sign. The only way for your love to continue to grow and last throughout the years is frequent conversations. It keeps the spark alive.
Excluding if they have problems at work or with family, or any other personal struggles—your partner should typically be present with you, both in mind and body. If lately, it has started to feel like you’re in a relationship with a ghost then perhaps that means it’s time to have a serious talk with your mate.
Do you feel like you’re constantly annoying them, even if you’re not trying to? Does it feel like the harder you try to please them the more irritated they get? If so, these are major red flags. If your partner makes you feel like you are not valued or are a daily obstacle they have to maneuver around, then this is a sign their love may have faded.
A busy schedule is normal in this day and age. However, everyone needs a little relaxation time and of course, intimacy. But if your lover seems like they’re constantly looking for places to be that are not at home or with you, then this a really bad sign that they don’t want to be with you.
Couples like to do things together. That’s a given. You understand this feeling: you’re engaged in an activity, and you’re thinking to yourself Oh, I wish he/she were here. They would love this! It’s a feeling that is completely natural (and healthy for that matter). So, if your partner never wants you around, then that means they are probably happier when away from you. It’s a painful feeling, and no one deserves to be treated that way.
You know the old saying Excuses are like a….yeah, you know the one. Well then, what’s the deal with this sign? Simple. When someone is confronted, and they make up an excuse, they are literally asking to be excused freed from blame. It’s not a great quality, but at least it means they care about your opinion. Someone who doesn’t love or care for you anymore, won’t even bother with appeasing you. They don’t care to explain their actions. They’ll just shrug their shoulders and expect you to get over it.
The most important was saved for last. Loss of respect is a major deal breaker. It means they resent you and look down upon you. Everyone deserves to be with someone who respects them. Answer this question: would you even be friends or acquaintances with someone who doesn’t respect you? Then why would you share your bed with this kind of person?
