7 Things I Will Not Tolerate About Men Anymore Now

Alright, so you have matured over the years and now wholly know how men behave in relationships! Also, with the new year, you just want to have some new resolutions!

Here are seven things you shouldn’t even begin to think about tolerating from men in 2019.

1. Blaming Your “Monthly Visitor” for Your Behavior

This stereotype is so rusted now!

Sure, we tend to get a bit emotional and grumpy when Aunt Flow makes her monthly visit, who wouldn’t? Since the beginning of time, men have been using it as a scapegoat to explain her ‘bad mood’ but they never once stop to consider that doing so WILL NOT make things any better.

Don’t allow anyone to blame your period for your high emotional state: it solves NOTHING and only makes things worse.

Tell him to hush up and buy you some chocolate!

2. Netflix and Chill is NOT a Date

The dating world has gotten unbelievably lazy, and women have fallen for it hard but not this year!

Ladies, when a man asks you if you’d like to “Netflix and Chill” don’t put that on your calendar as a date: it’s not.

If you let them get away with it from the get-go, you are setting yourself up for one meaningless night and show that you accept it as the standard that it isn’t.

‘Dear Men,

We are worth more than a $12 monthly subscription to a streaming app. If you can’t offer a quaint dinner date with meaningful discussion, don’t even bother.

Thanks!’

3. D*&k Pics: Just Stop Already!

Whoever convinced the majority of the male population that attracting a female was as simple as sending a picture of their genitals to them can seriously jump off a cliff.

We don’t want to check our messages only to be bombarded with some random guy’s junk!

It isn’t pretty; it’s certainly not appropriate, and, most of the time, isn’t anything to be proud of, to begin with.

4. Don’t Be a Rug

Social media has devalued the dating world so; it is of utter importance that us ladies stand up for ourselves. Don’t let anyone, especially someone you are dating, walk all over you.

You are worth more than that and deserve to be treated as such.

Just because it is easy to meet someone new doesn’t mean you have to bend over backward to keep that man in your life. If he walks away just because you won’t be at his beckon call: let him.

He isn’t worth it if he doesn’t think you are worth it.

5. Your Opinion on Our Weight Is NOT Needed

It is neither recommended nor wise to EVER comment on a woman’s weight. We don’t care if you are complimenting on a few lost pounds or mentioning our “curves,” our self-esteem will always be a factor that you don’t want to mess with.

Ladies: no matter your size, you are beautiful. Don’t allow anyone’s words tear down your body image.

6. Responsibilities Do Not Require Rewards

If you are thinking about giving him a cookie just for taking the trash out: stop, just stop. There is no reason to be rewarded for upholding your responsibilities and men seem to have a different take on things.

This is where the cycle stops: don’t allow the man in your life any reward system for stuff that he’s responsible for.

Do you get a gold star every time you do a sink full of dishes or cook dinner?

Didn’t think so.

7. Accepting One-Sided Stories

Every female on the planet has heard it all: “My ex-was a psycho,” “My last break-up was all her fault,” OR “I did nothing wrong, she was just crazy.”

We’ve heard every story and accepted them over and over only to find out there’s always more to the story. Take every tale about his exes with a grain of salt and if they always seem to be one-sided where he is never to blame: whip out that red flag and run for the hills.

Neither party is innocent in a break-up, and if he can’t admit that, he’s living in la-la land.

We aren’t trying to be shallow, let’s make that very clear. A new year is upon women, and we owe it to themselves to take the opportunity to make some severe changes and stick to them. Make 2018 a better year by knowing your value; your soul will thank you.
