There are different things that women are always expected to do.
For example, women are expected to prepare breakfast and still fix their things at the same time. They are expected to multitask because they have a lot of activities even if their time is limited. While multitasking gets things done, it should not be denied that it can also make women feel more exhausted and stressed than usual.
According to the researchers of Loughborough University located in the UK, those who use their brains more throughout the day would need to get more sleep. This means that the more stressed you were when you were working, the more rest you need for your brain.
Since the female brain is prone to multitasking, this means that they use their brains more and are required to sleep more.
It has always been said that adults still need to sleep for about 6 – 8 hours to let the body and the brain recover from all the things experienced throughout the day. For women, they are required to sleep an additional 20 minutes more to let their mind thoroughly become refreshed, renewed and ready for another day.
According to studies, women may become more affected when they lack sleep as compared to men who will be able to recover immediately. Women can become more prone to acquiring health conditions and diseases that could have been avoided if only they slept more.
Some health conditions that may be acquired by women are the following:
- Diabetes
- Cardiovascular Conditions
- Depression and Anxiety
- Stress
A lot of women have more tendency to wake up in the middle of the night than men because they are sensitive to unexpected noises.
If you are a woman and you would like to do your tasks well, get another 20 minutes of sleep on top of the normal sleep that you get. You will wake up feeling more refreshed and cheerful. This is proven by science so you can gain positive things from this.
