This Ancient Japanese Method Helps You Reduce Stress Within 5 Mins!

Stress is a pain in the ass in many people’s lives. It is a common problem that most of us have had to deal in our lives.

We might actually not realize how big of an effect stress has on our mind and body. In long term it might cause some serious damage and have irreversible consequences.

When your body goes into stress it starts to release hormones and boost heart and breathing rates. Which does not do harm in short-term. But if you ignore your symptoms and do not deal with stress, it may develop into a chronic disease. Stress might cause symptoms such as depression, anxiety, irritability, heart attack, stroke, nausea and vomiting. In addition, it can weaken our immune system and make us more susceptible for illnesses. As seen from the previous list – it truly affects both our body and mind.

There are many methods one can try to get rid of stress.

For example, doing exercise regularly whether it is walking, running, biking or other kind of sports. It would be good idea to practice it outside in the fresh air. Being social and connecting with other people also helps to reduce stress. Another method is for example body treatments, saunas and massages that help to relax the mind and body.

For people, who do not have a lot of time, there is a Japanese self-relaxation technique that can be done only with 5 minutes and anywhere you are.

Did you know that each of the fingers in our hand represents a different emotion and feeling?

The thumb helps to let go of emotions like anxiety and worry.

The index finger helps to get over fears.

The middle finger helps to control rage and bitterness.

The ring finger helps to fight off depression and melancholy.

The pinkie helps to relieve stress and boosts optimism and self-esteem.

So here is how to get stress free in 5 minutes:

The idea is to balance all the opposing energy forces in your body. You need to start by taking one finger at a time, grasp it with the opposite hand and wrap every other finger around it. Hold like this for one or two minutes and than move on to the next finger. You can know that is is working by feeling the pulse. To get even more relaxation apply slight pressure to the middle of your palm with your opposite thumb and hold it for at least a minute.

It is recommended to practice this technique every day to make your spirit balanced and get rid off stress. You can easily do this exercise on the bus to work, during your lunch pause or before going to sleep. Give it a try!
