An Open Letter by Parents – We Will Be The People We Want You to Become

The open letter below emphasizes on how parents need to become the person they want their children to be first. It is essential for parents to be the highlight of their child’s life and be there for them every step of the way. To better understand this open letter written to unborn children, you really must know everything you want to tell your children.

Children are such a miracle and have always been one of the biggest inspirations for generations around the world.

They bring joy and wonderment and a promise for a brighter future, and because of children, parents ask themselves: “What can we do to improve our lives and the lives of those that come after us?”

To our beautiful unborn children,

As we work towards creating our futures, we realize that our actions, thoughts, and words are building the framework for what will be the reality of your tomorrow. As parents, we have always dreamed that you would enter into a world free from fear, illness, war, hatred, and inequality.

For generations, parents have used the adage, “do as I say, not as I do,” but the world would be a better place if we worked together. As parents, we promise to help you realize your dream through our unconditional love for you.

Sometimes as parents we will even go to extremes to help you work to become the best version of yourself.

Here is a short story for you to understand the promise of a parent:

A mother had begged her son to break his sugar addiction, but he just could not. At her wit’s end, the mother planned a long journey to take her son to meet his idol, Gandhi, with the hopes that Gandhi could influence her son to change.

Upon their arrival, the mother explained to Gandhi that her son could not break his sugar habit. She requested him to tell her son that he should not continue eating sugar. She was hopeful that Gandhi would help her son see the issue with his sugar addiction.

Gandhi pondered over her request and asked that she and her son must return in two weeks and at that time he would consult her son. Confused by his inability to answer her request at that moment, the mother left with her son and returned home.

Two weeks later, the mother and son returned to Gandhi. Immediately Gandhi looked directly at the boy and said, “You should stop eating sugar, it is not good for your health.”

Upon his request, the boy promised that he would stop eating sugar, immediately.

At last, the mother questioned why Gandhi did not tell the boy to stop eating sugar during their previous visit. Gandhi smiled and explained to the mother that at their previous visit he was consuming a lot of sugar himself.

This story is a perfect example of the promises our coming generations deserve. We work to make the world better by starting first with ourselves, starting today and starting now.

We are going to change the world by first setting an example of how the world should be instead of just telling you how to make the world a better place. We will tell you do “do as I do” instead of, “as I say.” We will take action now and lead by example. We will change our lifestyles to be healthier and have lifestyles that will allow a better future without more problems. We will tackle our fears and use our strength as an example of how you can work to empower yourself.

The world is crying out for peace, and the best place we can start is by working to make changes in our lives and the lives of those around us.

This is our promise to you as your parents: To love you and to love others because we know that love can change the world and we want to show you how to love others around you so you can continue our legacy. When we are no longer here in this world. We want you to be able to share that love with the generations of you. We desire for your life to be filled with love at every moment.

Forever your biggest fan,

Your Parents.
